Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus held a meeting with President of Maldives Mohamed Muijju and President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bekriovic on the sidelines of the Conference of Parties-29 (Cop29) in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.


He also met with Lichtenstein Prime Minister Daniel Risch and Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobagh.  During the meeting, Professor Yunus exchanged words with the President and Prime Ministers.  Earlier in the news, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the chief adviser and his entourage left Dhaka for Azerbaijan on Monday (11 November) at 11 am Bangladesh time.  The Chief Adviser will be on a state visit to Azerbaijan from November 11 to 14 on the occasion of the Climate Conference.


At the COP-29 climate conference, Prof. Yunus will address various forums and meet with key stakeholders.  The fact that Bangladesh is playing a leading role in combating global climate change will also be highlighted in this conference.
